Choosing a blade for the Bosch 4100
Start with compatibility, then choose for the material and cut you make most often.
Read the guide : Choosing a blade for the Bosch 4100Plan storage, the stand, and workpiece support around the space you really have.
Research-based guidance, with any historical owner observations identified. No new hands-on test results are claimed.

Measure the shop in two states: packed away and ready to work. The saw’s stored footprint is only part of the space requirement; the workpiece and support equipment determine whether the operating layout makes sense.
The original review’s defining constraint was a one-car garage that still housed a car. The owner valued the rolling stand because it made moving the saw practical. That is a useful design brief for a small workshop: the routine of starting and finishing a session matters.
Sketch where the saw, car, bench and stored stock normally sit. Then draw a separate working arrangement. Check where the material will travel and where the support equipment will go.
Bosch documents several stand models. The TS2100 product page lists compatibility with the 4100, but that does not identify the stand on your saw. Check its label before relying on mounting or operating instructions.
Bosch TS2100 information is a reference for that stand, not a claim that all 4100 packages include it.
| State | What to record |
|---|---|
| Stored | Overall footprint, hose storage, accessory storage and access to the car. |
| Moving | Route from storage to the work position and any obstacles. |
| Working | Material path, controls, support arrangement and room around the operator. |
| Packing away | Where the blade accessories, sled and collection equipment return. |
The original owner reported using an outfeed table or rollers for some long stock and sheet work. The lesson is to plan the surrounding setup rather than treating the saw table as the entire working surface.
Choose support that suits the operation and follows the relevant equipment instructions. We have not measured this garage or validated a new support design, so this guide does not prescribe a universal clearance or an untested folding-table plan.
Record the steps that make a short session cumbersome. Sometimes the next useful improvement is a place to store the hose or sled, not a different saw. See the dust-connection guide for one part of that routine.
If the working arrangement still cannot accommodate your regular projects, use the keep-or-replace guide to reconsider the workflow.
